Obituary

Cheryl Lynn Broadnax of Sharonville. Loving wife of Chuck Broadnax. Beloved mother of Camden Broadnax. Cherished daughter of Glay & Nancy Wiegand. Devoted sister of Caren (Walter) Wiegand and Bethany (Keri Boller) Wiegand. Proud aunt of Kyle, Josef, and Nicholas. Dear daughter-in-law of the late Charles and Ruth Broadnax. Passed away May 25, 2022 at the age of 54. Cheryl truly cherished her family and being a mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She especially beamed with pride in watching her "little man" grow-up, play sports and hanging out with friends. She simply loved life. Whether it was ordinary everyday tasks, walks in the park, a stroll on the beach, reading a book, going on family vacations or taking one of her famous road trips. Cheryl grew up in Loveland, Ohio and then attended the University of Tennessee receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Education and later earned a Master Degree in Educational Professional Development at Mount St. Joseph and an Education Administrative License from Xavier University. She was a passionate educator and dedicated herself to education equality and improving the lives of students and families locally and across the country. Everyone who knew Cheryl loved her bright smile and infectious laugh. She had a cheerful, yet determined way in her approach to life. When asked what shaped Cheryl and gave her purpose she said "A place that has shaped me is my church community. Over the years my faith has let me discover different meanings to life, but one purpose has never changed; serve with gratitude and humility using your God given talents to help promote goodness". Cheryl fought her battle with cancer as she lived her life with poise, grace, strength and courage. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, being a bit of a rebel, dreaming big and being fiercely independent. The meaning of life is a life of meaning. While some may count days, Cheryl made the days count. She impacted so many lives and will be deeply missed. Family and friends will be received from 4-8 PM on Thursday, June 2 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at Bellarmine Chapel, 3801 St. Francis Xavier Way, Cincinnati, OH 45207. To continue Cheryl's passion for equitable education and literacy the family is establishing a fund. More details on how to donate will be share in the coming days.
