Charlotte Woolf, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, great aunt, friend and mentor to many, left the physical world she had graced to join her beloved husband Wally in heaven on January 19, 2013. Charlotte Woolf was born in Ludlow, Kentucky on March 15, 1916. Charlotte's family moved to Mt. Auburn when she was 4 months old. She attended Woodward High School and met the love of her life Wally when she was 17 years old. Wally and Charlotte were married in 1935. Charlotte was a hard worker her entire life, working when she was young as a cook at Christ Hospital and Hyde Park elementary and for 30 years at the farm she and Wally restored in Maineville, Ohio. Charlotte and Wally were very active in the Maineville United Methodist Church. They moved to Mason Christian Village in 1994, where they continued to make new friends, volunteer and enjoy life every day.
While Charlotte and Wally did not have children of their own, they played an important role in the lives of so many children and adults through the years. Charlotte took an active interest and responsibility for others- going the extra step to welcome a stranger, help someone in need or show them love. She led by example- quietly doing the right things every day. While many profess religion, Charlotte truly led a Christian life. She was faithful to her husband, to her family and friends, to her church and to her savior.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Cordelia Schwartz, her sisters, Carmen, Corea, and Cordelia, and her husband of 66 years Wally. Charlotte is survived by her nieces Charlotte Sue Sovereign and Kathy Nelson, great nieces Kelly Stroope, Marla Sovereign Schofield, Holly Sovereign, Stephanie Baur and many other great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, January 23 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140, where services will be held at 11 AM. Interment Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mt. Healthy, Ohio.
