Charles S. "Chuck" Wheeler of Midland. Beloved husband of Kathryn Reed (White) Wheeler and of the late Betty (Tissandier) Wheeler, dear father of Pat (Ricky) Goldie, Diana Thomas, Brenda Simpson, Ed (Patty) Reed, Jim (Venita) Reed, caring grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. July 19, 2005 at age 80. Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Navy on Jan. 29, 1942. He served in 14 campaigns during World War II on board the USS Indiana. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, 2 Silver Stars, 4 Bronze Stars, Victory and Gold Conduct Ribbons, and other medals. H He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of God, a 32nd. Degree Mason in the F. AM. Goshen Lodge #119, and the Syrian Temple in Cincinnati.
