Charles Louis Rabe of Symmes Township, Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on June 1, 2022 from a traumatic brain injury after a fall. He was 78 years old. Chuck is survived by Sandy Owings Rabe, his beloved wife of 28 years, his sons, Doug and Greg Rabe; his daughter-in-law, Peggy Rabe Wilson; his grandchildren; Miranda Smith, Addison Rabe, Tyler Rabe and Sarah Rabe. He is preceded in death by his parents, Valentine J. Rabe and Dorothy M. Rabe and his sister, Sharon Rabe Vickers. Chuck was born on April 4th, 1944 to Valentine and Dorothy Rabe in Covington, Kentucky. He graduated from Covington Catholic High School and Thomas More University with a degree in Accounting. He spent his accounting career, working at Frank Foods, Vernors, and as the Chief Financial Officer of West Shell Realty, finishing out his career as a financial planner at The Financial Network Group in Cincinnati. Chuck enjoyed hunting, skiing, traveling with his wife and grandchildren, hosting his many friends, loving to make them laugh, and especially enjoyed being Papa Chuck to all the kids in his neighborhood. Chuck had a life long joy of reading, learning new ideas and implementing them. He was a problem solver who took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. A Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at The Cincinnati Women's Club, 330 Layfayette Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Appetizers and beverages will be served. Please dress in bright colored cocktail attire to honor Chuck. Jackets for men are required. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Council On Child Abuse (COCA), 4531 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Sandy, Chuck's wife, is eternally grateful for all the family, friends and neighbors who spent countless hours giving her support.
