Cherished grandfather of Amy Merchant, Sarah Pelfrey, Stacy Rothert, Jamie Mentzel, Brett Mentzel, Corie Mentzel, Brooks Adams, Teri Goettelman, Kristen Elkins, Caitlyn Adams, Grayson Mentzel, Henry Mentzel, Finley Mentzel and Tiernan Mentzel. Devoted great grandfather of Evan, Ava, Emma, Evelyn, Nathan, Kelly, Landon, Jocelynne, Jackson, Logan and Abigail. Dear brother of the late Charlotte Rose (the late Fred) Stuebing, James "Jim" Anthony Mentzel, Catherine Mary (the late Edward) Klayer, Theresa Mary (the late James) Houp and Patricia Margaret (the late Mark) Greene. Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. Passed away July 20, 2021 at the age of 87. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 27 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E.
