Retired from the Mead Corp., Container Division. He was a manager of Packaging Systems, retiring in 1983 after 23 years with the company. Charles was a 1940 graduate of Elder High School and attended the University of Cincinnati. He was active in his church, St. Philip the Apostle, and was a volunteer in the Cardiac Cath. Lab at Bethesda North Hospital. During WWII, he was a pilot of a PB4Y-2 patrol bomber in the U.S. Navy, stationed on the Pacific Islands of Guam, Tinian and Iwo Jima. Charles is survived by his wife Eileen (nee Burwinkel) Hagedorn, daughters Sr. Barbara, Sister of Charity, and Janice M., a son Charles G. (Judy), step-son William J. (Bev) Boyd, James M. (Jennifer) Rosson, and Nancy R. (Alan) Cutter, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, brothers Richard Hagedorn and Rev. Robert Hagedorn. Charles is preceded in death by his first wife Ann, brother William, and parents William and Josephine (nee Brink) Hagedorn.
