Beloved husband for 56 years of Anne (nee Buchanan) Edwards, loving father of Daniel (Patricia Rose) Edwards, dear grandfather of Christopher D. and Jessica W. Edwards, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Thursday May 11, 2005. Age 82. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles W. and Esther Edwards, two sisters Irene(Jim) May and Doris (Harlan) Sims. Served in the US Army during WWII in the 31st Signal Corp in the Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Metal, Meritorious unit award and the WWII Victory Metal. He started his career with B&O Railroad and then retired after 33 years as locomotive Engineer for P&G, also Engineered for the Indiana & Ohio Railroad.
