Charles "Chuck" Robert Thomas of Batavia, OH, went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2024 at the age of 74. Chuck was born in Buffalo, NY on November 26, 1949 to the late Robert George and Ruth Esther (nee Simmons) Thomas.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Lee (nee Miller) Thomas of 50 years. Loving father of Amber Boone, Mary (Steve Bohl) Thomas, Elizabeth (Brandon) Thomas and Nathan Thomas. Caring grandpa of Keilah Boone, Rian Boone, Aaron "AJ" Boone, Jr. and Katelyn "Katie" Lyons. Dear brother of Gary Thomas. Also survived by many cousins and relatives.

Chuck was known for his encouragement of others, his passion for prayer and his ministry as a Salvation Army Officer for 23 years. In his retirement, he ministered to local nursing homes in pulpit ministry and Bible studies. He attended Goshen Bible Baptist Church.

Friends will be received from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, August 5 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon on Monday.  Pastor Sam Gabbard officiating.

Interment will take place at Batavia Union Cemetery, Batavia, Ohio.
