Cecil Everett Thompson, 86, of Blanchester, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born March 10, 1930 in Little, Kentucky to Jack and Julia Ann Thompson. Cecil was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington. He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Rosie (nee Burnell) Thompson; loving father of Ronald Thompson, Kathy (Tim) Trimble, Lisa (Donald) Hair, and Tonda (Jeff) Davis; proud grandfather of Angie (Andy) Maybrier, Roger (Wendy) Inlow, Rick (Laura) Rankin, Tabitha (Derrick) Wallace, Chandra (Bryson) Thompson, Cari (Ryan) Williams, Kayla (Ben) Myers, Zachary Davis, Devan Hair, Mei-Mei Davis and great-grandfather of 17; dear brother of Ernest Thompson, Donald Thompson, Betty Gregory, and Anna Ruth (Jerry) Lewis; brother-in-law of Kenny Morris and Janet Warren; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by brothers, Gene Thompson and Lloyd Thompson; sister, Lilly Faye Thompson; Sisters-in-law Wanda Thompson, Imogene Thompson, Catherine Thompson, and Ethel Morris; Brother-in-law Kenny Gregory; mother and father-in-law Charlie and Florence Burnell. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 12pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 10am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, Ohio.
