Beloved wife of 57 years to Walter Emmerson Akers. Loving mother of Randall "Vonley" (Sue) Gulley, Penny (Doug) Downs, Walter Destry Akers Jr., Gay (Doug) West and Bedo (Vicky) Akers. Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Joann Graff. Cherished daughter of the late John Wayne and Gay Lena (nee Meade) Gaffin. Caryl was a minister of the Gospel who deeply loved the Lord. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 10 AM to 12 Noon at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment, Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH. Rev. Walter Akers will be the minister for his wife's services.
