Carroll Douglas Davidson, son of the late Pearl and Loreta Davidson, was born August 16th, 1930 in Huntington, West Virginia. He attended Huntington East High School. Carroll served in the United States Air Force during the Korean war. Upon returning, he completed a degree in Engineering from Marshall University. Carroll married Joan Mays in 1955 and remained in Huntington where they raised four daughters and enjoyed playing golf. Carroll was employed by Huntington Alloys as a project manager. Upon retirement in 1986, Joan and Carroll moved to Fairfield Glade, Crossville, Tennessee where they continued to play golf and attend Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. Carroll was the beloved father of Traci (Ed) Foster, Kim (Doug) Smith, Jodi (Frank) Herndon, and Jill (Cees) van de Mortel. Proud grandfather of Jen (Nick) Kenien, Katie (Chris) Uhler, Maggie Foster, Paige Smith, Davis Herndon, Libby Herndon, and Nol van de Mortel. Cherished great grandfather of Ben, Nathan, Emma & Ellie Kenien. Dear brother of the late Betty Sue Mays. Carroll passed away on November 15, 2018 at the age of 88.
