Carolyn Ruth Ray Myers, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born July 23, 1928 to Leonard and Ruth Ray in Brookville, Ohio. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Paul. They were married in Casstown, Ohio on Nov. 30, 1946. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Louise Curtis and Betty Myers; brothers Leonard Ray and Lee Ray. Carolyn is lovingly remembered by her family, brother Stan (Jackie) Ray of Troy, Ohio; sister Patricia (Ramon) Carlson of Ohio; sons Paul "Rick" (Helen) Myers Jr. of Bethel, Ohio and Lee (Sandy) Myers of Batavia, Ohio; daughters Ann Myers of Franklin, Ohio and Gay (Harry) Stephens of Alexandria, Kentucky; ten grandchildren and their spouses; and 16 great-grandchildren. Carolyn grew up in Troy, Ohio and graduated from Elizabeth Twp. high school in 1946 where she was the first Ohio State president of the Future Homemakers of America club. A longtime resident of Batavia and Owensville, she was active in the community and her church. She loved to read, cook, garden and spend time with her family. The visitation is from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 29, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thurs., May 30 at Owensville United Methodist Church, 2580 US 50. Pastor Mike Smith will be officiating. The burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford, Ohio.
