Carolyn Jean (nee Arnett) Minix, 83, of Blanchester, OH, passed peacefully on July 29, 2016 with her family by her side. Born on January 16, 1933 in Hendricks, KY to Beckham and Erin Arnett. Carolyn was a dedicated educator having spent 35 years teaching the second grade. She was a devoted wife and mother that loved spending time with her family. Carolyn was the life of the party, loved dancing, and did water aerobics at the YMCA. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Skid Minix; loving mother of Skid Nelson (Tammy) Minix and Mica Anne (James) Burt; proud grandmother of Corey D. (Carla) Minix, Erin N. Minix, Paige E. Burt, and Alexandra C. Burt; great-grandmother of Colin Minix; dear sister of Dr. Michael (Beverly) Arnett and Fritz (Marcia) Arnett; sister-in-law of Charles (Marge) Minix and Eugene Williams; also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Harris Gregory Arnett. A funeral service will be held on August 2, 2016 at 12pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will be received from 10am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Blanchester IOOF Cemetery.
