Carolyn Binkley (ne Cunningham), passed away on March 6, 2018 in Wilmington, with her husband, Carlton (Bink) Binkley, and her children by her side. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Clinton County, having spent most of her life in Blanchester.
Carolyn was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Blanchester, and loved her church family. She was a member and Historian of the 20th Century Club in Blanchester, and treasured the many friendships she made in the Club over the years. Carolyn was involved in many civic organizations including the Blanchester Public Library, Outstanding Women of Clinton County, and the Blanchester Historical Society. She loved playing the piano, historical architecture, and socializing.
Carolyn enjoyed the many friendships she and Carlton made in Blanchester, especially their Third Saturday Night dinner group. They had lifelong friendships and stories that will be passed on for generations to come. She also treasured the friends she made while employed at the Clinton County Board of Education Office.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Carlton; her children: David and Lory Binkley, Ellen Binkley-Hill, Carolyn Binkley-Martin, and Joel Binkley; Grandchildren: Dustin, Kory, and Brandon Martin, Tyler and Laurie Carr, Timothy Hill and Bethany Shackleford; and four Great Grandchildren: Makinzie Martin, Laney and Tucker Carr, and Kennedy Hill.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Cunningham, her half-brother Charles Cunningham, and half-sister Elizabeth Hoffer, and beloved cousin Dorothy Hunt.
Visitation will be held at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral home in Blanchester, OH, on Sunday, March 11th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with graveside services at the Second Creek Cemetery on Monday, March 12th, at 10:30 a.m. with family and close friends.
