Carol Ann Simons, 70, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away on March 22, 2013 at her residence. She was born on August 6, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles and Phyllis Boyd Shubirg. She was a graduate of Ohio University and worked as an educator for 40 years. She was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, and an avid quilter and knitter. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald Simons, Children Michael Simons of Loveland, Ohio, Christopher (Stephanie) Simons of Cincinnati, Ohio, Julienne (Don Michael) Taylor of Beavercreek, Ohio. Grandchildren Morgan and M.R. Cooper Taylor, and Audrey and Elena Simons, Sister Linda Shubirg Lancaster, Ohio. A graveside service will be held Saturday March 30, 2013 11:30am at Rose Hill Cemetery Mason, Ohio with the Rev. John Mueller officiating. No visiting hours will be observed. Memorial gifts may be given to King of Kings Lutheran of Mason, Ohio, the Loveland Middle School Media Center, or charity of one's choice.
