Carol Ann (nee Miller) Holmes passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 73. Carol was born on June 2, 1953, in Dayton, OH. 

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Larry Calvin Holmes. She was the cherished mother of Terri Holmes, Matt Holmes (and his wife Regina), Scott Holmes (and his wife Tania), Jennifer Holmes, and Rebecca Cole. Her legacy of love and strength extends through her ten grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Carol was a dear sister to Oneeda Miller. 

Carol graduated from Wilmington College in 1991, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She also received her chemical dependency license to help guide those in need. Carol was a crisis counselor at Kettering Hospital in Dayton, OH for many years. 

Friends will be received from 12 Noon to 1 PM on Thursday, August 13 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, OH, where services will begin at 1 PM on Thursday. 

The interment will take place at Troutwine Cemetery, Lynchburg, OH immediately following the services.
