Caring grandfather of 37 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Joe Hartness, Dee Hartness, Sue Pennington, Betty Pridemore and Frances Schulze. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Emma (nee Craig) Hartness, a daughter, Mary Rogers, a grandchild, Laurie L. Hartness, a great-grandchild, Johnathan M. Stockton and two brothers.
