Carl Schmieg of Fayetteville, OH, passed away February 14, 2026, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Bonnie Sue Schmieg, the late Patti Schmieg, and the late Cindy Schmieg. Devoted father of Carol (Jeff) Marcum, Cathy (Robert) Sanders, and Cindy Schriefer. Cherished stepfather of Amy Roetting, Nancy Bowling, and Eddie Jackson. Loving grandfather of Julie, Tyler, Jonathan, Robert, and Dalon. Caring brother of Douglas (Velda) Schmieg, Calvin (Elma) Schmieg, Thomas (Patty) Schmieg, David (Mary Beth) Schmieg, and Anthony (Lisa) Schmieg.

As a long time former resident he dedicated more than 20 years to Loveland City Schools, where he made a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues. A devoted father, he spent many seasons coaching youth soccer for his daughters and later served as a referee for years, giving back back to the game and the community he loved. Known for his big heart, he never turned away an animal in need and welcomed every stray as a part of the family.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, February 19, from 4 PM to 5 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Avenue, Loveland, OH, 45140, where a service for Carl will begin at 5 PM.
