Carl Steve Mindum of Goshen, OH. Passed peacefully after a long illness with Alzheimer's Disease, on June 3, 2022 at the age of 81. Born on April 16, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH. After graduating from Goshen High School, Carl proudly served in the United States Army. In 1968, he started Carl Mindum's Body Shop and remained in business until 2018. Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Connie L. (nee Everhart) Mindum; daughter, Julie (Anton) Mindum-Savchenko; son, Carl S. (Christi) Mindum Jr.; step-daughter, Kelly (Brian) Faris; step-son, Michael Scott (Christina) Hornsby; grandson, Nicholas Savchenko; step-grandchildren, Addison, Emmerson and Peyton Faris, Brayden Hornsby, Jackson and Juelahna Whitt; brother, Fred Mindum; sister, Marian (Robert) Reid; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Godfrey "Fritz" and Theresa Mindum. Friends will be received from 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, June 11 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen where a Goshen Masonic Lodge No. 119 Service will begin at 1 PM followed by the funeral service. Private burial services at Goshen Cemetery. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Heritage Hall Banquet Center, 1705 St. Rt. 28, Goshen. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263. Pastor Adam Herbert will be the minister for Carl's services.
