In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Carl McDonald Jr. Sunrise: July 28, 1949 Sunset: December 4, 2014 Born: Cincinnati Ohio Education: Withrow High School Graduate 1968 Occupation: Ellis and Watts Global Industries, Batavia, Ohio Married: Jean Ann Brooker April 1969 Married: Martha Young August 1977 Parents: Father Carl McDonald Sr. Mother Blanch Mae Alsop He is survived by his children: Daughter Robbyia Ford, Son Ronald Lewis, Son Cleon Lewis, Son Carl McDonald III, Daughter Carita McDonald, Son-in-Law Ricky Ford and numerous grandchildren. Church Service/Activities: Carl was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served for many years as the Stake Athletics Director where he organized basketball and softball leagues for the youth. His energy and dedication to his calling was legendary and he was affectionately referred to as the "Commissioner of the Mormon Basketball Association". He was also a member of the High Priest's Quorum of the Cincinnati Ohio East Stake's Cherry Grove Ward where he was beloved by all. Hobbies: Carl loved to spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed singing, camping, amusement parks, watching sports and television. His favorite teams were the Lakers, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds and UC Bear Cats. His favorite poem was, "Rest In Jesus" "Where can I find a place where I can rest my soul. Where can I go where there's no sorrow. Where there's no pain to reign in my life. A place of peace, no struggle and no strife. Can I fly there like a morning dove? Can I soar there like an eagle? I found rest in Jesus. Oh Yes, I found rest in Jesus."
