Bryan James, age 67, of Montgomery, passed away on March 12th, 2026 after a life defined by friendship and connection. He never knew a stranger and was happiest when he had a house full of family or was swapping stories with friends about his biggest catch out on the water. No matter when you were heading home, it was always too soon, and you would often hear Bryan say, “Don’t you rush off, just stay awhile.” Bryan could fix almost anything (whether we wanted him to or not), loved the outdoors, and enjoyed traveling with his family. His life was devoted to his family- whether it was coaching any one of his kids, baiting a hook for one of the grandkids, cheering from the stands, or just snuggling in with a movie.
He was a beloved husband and partner-in-crime to Gail James for 42 years. A loving father of Shannon James, Jeffrey (Claire) James, Kristofer (Ashley) James, Jessica James, and Madeline James. Proud papa of Evelyn, Wesley, Violet and Rocky. Son of the late Carl and Leona James. Best friend of Ghost (the dog).
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 18th from 5-7 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 11 AM at St. Saviour Parish, 4136 Myrtle Ave., Cincinnati,. Interment Rest Haven Memorial Park.
