Donald “Brother Don” Gale Piercy of Blanchester, Ohio, finished his race well, and was welcomed home by his Savior on August 3, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born in Monticello, KY on April 19, 1942, to Casto and Lucy Allene (nee Tuggle) Piercy.
Bro. Don was blessed to be the husband of Wanda (nee Sloan) Piercy for 48 years. After her death, he was blessed again to marry Joyce Ann (nee Newsome) Piercy, and they enjoyed 14 years together. He was the loving father of Sheila (Victor) Scott of Blanchester, Ohio, Alberta (Tim) Bradshaw of Clarksville, Ohio, Ronnie (Elizabeth) Piercy of Blanchester, Ohio, Amy (Scott) Slone of Elkville, IL, Terry D. (Vickie) Hall, and Teresa (Roger) Justice. Proud grandfather of Brandon (Tricia) Scott, Daniel (Stephanie) Scott, Alisha (Patrick) Roosa, Brittany (Brian) Putman, Luci (Jeff) Helmer, Amberly (Noah) Barnes, Gabby (Esteban) Gonzalez, Faith Slone, Sarah Milligan, Grace Milligan, Elizabeth Kate Piercy, Audrey Rose Piercy, Tori Hope Piercy, Landon Slone, Chandler Slone, Johnny Slone, Stephanie Slone, Christopher (April) Hall, Corey (Tiffany) Justice, Ian (Madison) Hall, Matthew (Isabell) Hall, and the late Seth Justice and Heavenly Milligan. Devoted great-grandfather of Isabelle Roosa, Kane Scott, Eli Roosa, Truitt Roosa, Kyla Mae Scott, Clay Scott, Silas Roosa, Molly Scott, Weston Roosa, Lilah Helmer, Kai Putman, Eliana Helmer, Maylee Putman, Karston Helmer, Haddon Putman, Rena Christine Barnes, Nicole Hall, Caleb Hall, Emerson Hall, Aria Justice, Riverly Justice, and Nina Hall. Dear brother of Irene Davis, Norma Scalf, Christine Slagle, Russell Piercy, Pam Watkins, and the late Lonnie Piercy. Bro. Don is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Bro. Don pastored for 38 years. He was the pastor of Edenton First Baptist Church for 25 years. He also pastored at Hillsboro Southern, Shady Grove, Hamersville, and lastly at Greenfield. Bro. Don was a faithful Southern Baptist pastor whose ministry will carry on through the numerous men and women who are following the Lord in ministry and missions.
Bro. Don retired from General Motors in Norwood.

Friends will be received on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 6-9 pm at Edenton First Baptist Church, 6655 Edenton-Pleasant Plain Rd, Pleasant Plain, OH. A funeral service will begin at 10am on Saturday, August 8 at Edenton First Baptist Church.
