Brenda Kay (née Herrin) Allphin of Blanchester, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born in Greenbush, Ohio, on August 16, 1948, to the late Dewey Orville and Ruby (née Hughes) Herrin.
Brenda was the beloved wife of Donald Allphin Sr. for 61 years. She was the loving mother of Roxanna Allphin, Donald “Don” Allphin Jr., and Rebekah Allphin. She was the caring grandmother of Elizabeth Allphin, Jamie Allphin, and Zacchary Atwood, and the proud great-grandmother of Wyatt Brown, Aubrey Wilson, and Kylie Allphin. Brenda was the dear sister of Stephen Herrin, Connie Self, Roger Herrin, Rodney Herrin, and Vickie Herrin. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lucinda Allphin, and her siblings, Lorna Bowen and Beverly Wagers.
Brenda was a faithful longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Goshen, Ohio. Throughout her career, she compassionately served others as a nursing assistant in the Cincinnati area. She enjoyed working puzzles and treasured the time spent with her family and friends.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Brenda Kay Allphin to the Wayne Township Fire Auxiliary, 3334 Weaver Rd., Batavia, OH, 45103.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main Street, Blanchester, Ohio, where funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Newtonsville, Ohio.
