Betty Jeanne Mason, age 99, of Blanchester, OH, died Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her daughter's home in Leesburg, OH. Jeanne was born April 29, 1925, in Sioux City, IA, to the late Arthur and Hazel (nee Harrington) Allan.

Jeanne met her husband, George, during World War II while he was serving in the Army Air Corp as a nose gunner on the B17G and an armament officer. They married on August 29, 1946, and enjoyed being together for 75 years. For most of her married life, she was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker but always found time for shopping.

Surviving are her three children, Sue (Dan) Profitt of Elsmere, KY, George W. Mason, Jr. of Panama City, FL, and Saundra (Bob) Kratzer of Leesburg, OH, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, her honorary daughter Susan Bohrer, fur baby Miss Mittsy, sisters Karen (Ken) Vaul, Janet Wakeman, brother George Allan, numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, George, two granddaughters, brother Robert Allan, and sister Beverly Kehrberg.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, at 11am at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, OH. Interment at I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Blanchester.
