Betty Jo Reynolds (Nee Randolph) has been a resident of Blanchester, OH since 1964 but was born in Memphis, Texas on May 25, 1927. She is preceeded in death by her parents Leon and Ruby Randolph and her sister, Billie Parker (Dub) of Memphis, Texas. Betty was the wife of the late William Lawson Reynolds; Loving mother of Jerian Powers (Bill) of Midland, Carolyn Reynolds of Blanchester, Elaine Reynolds of Grove City, Stephen Reynolds (Faye) of Lethbridge, Alberta ,Canada, David Reynolds (Jana) of Buffalo, Texas and Sharon Thompson (Joe) of Buford; Grandmother of Jason Potts (Connie) and Vanessa Roe (Jeremy) of New Vienna; Steffi and Teddi Reynolds of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; Elizabeth, Victoria, Rebecca, Michael, Melissa and Matthew Reynolds of Buffalo, Texas; Jaqueline and William Greenwaldt of Berea, Kentucky; Great-grandmother of Wesley and Andrew Potts of New Vienna. Betty is also survived by one niece Sue Allison of Panhandle, Texas. After graduation from high school, with intentions of serving as a missionary, Betty prepared at Wayland College, Howard Payne and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, all in Texas. However, Betty married and moved to a new life in Louisville, Kentucky where her husband attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Betty lived in Indiana as well as Texas, Kentucky and Ohio. Betty's careers included mother, minister's wife and teacher. Betty taught fourth grade in the Blanchester School District for 26 years. She was famous for her collections of apples and Santa's. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Blanchester. Betty passed away on July 30, 2008. We will all miss her beautiful laugh and generous spirit. Family request that memorial contributions in memory of Betty be directed to the First Baptist Church of Blanchester 304 W.
