Betty Jean Barr, 75 of Midland, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 15, 2018 after a sudden illness. Born on August 14, 1942 in New Castle, Indiana, daughter of John Rose and Ethel (nee Powell) Garrison. Betty was a faithful member of the Daystar First Church of God in Blanchester. She was the head cook at Putman School where she eventually retired. Betty enjoyed gardening, reading, and quilting. However, her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is the beloved wife of 59 years to Joseph Barr; loving mother of Michael (Brenda) Barr, David Barr, and Linda (Phil) Hollingsworth; proud grandmother of Isaac (Tara) Barr, Tyler Barr, Damon Barr, and Lauren Hollingsworth; great-grandmother of Jaden, Chloe, Michael James, Ella, and Hunter; dear sister of Alice Setty and Rodney Garrison; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Garrison. A visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Daystar Frist Church of God, 402 E Center St, Blanchester, Ohio, with a memorial service following at 4pm.
