Obituary

Bain, Benjamin F. of Mariemont. Retired Vice President of Sales for Walker Machinery Company died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at Madeira Health Center at the age of 95. He and his identical twin brother, Albert Jr. were born in Newark, Ohio on October 10, 1909, the sons of Albert Banyai and Rachel Rose Toth. He married Marie Cutarelli in 1937 whom preceded him death in 1995. He graduated from Ohio University with degrees in chemistry, Physics and Physical Education. Before meeting William L Walker in 1951, who was forming Walker Machinery Company and needed a sales engineer, Ben worked as a teacher in Athens, Ohio, a salesman at Sun Oil, and an engineer at AC Spark Plug and Drackett Company. He retired in 1984 at the age of 75. During World War 2, while at AC Spark Plug, he developed one of the first plastic bomb sites. He was also the sole mechanic for his wife's 1956 T-Bird which she owned for 40 years. Ben was an Amatteur Radio Enthusiast for 35 years, call sign-KB8EP. He belonged to Terrace Park country Club for 48 years, where he had two hole-in-ones and had the longest drive on the 18th hole for decades. Ben played the cello and accompanied his virtuoso wife on the piano. He is survived by his two daughters, Rosemarie Daniels and Sally Coffman and his three grandchildren, Benjamin Daniels, Kimberley Coffman and Bethany Daniels.
