IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara "Bobbi"
Walker
March 5, 1942 – January 5, 2025
Barbara "Bobbi" Lee Walker, 82, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio, surrounded by loved ones. Born March 5, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Charlie and Gladys Distel (Fearnaught), Bobbi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and vibrant spirit touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry Walker; brother Brad Distel; children Chas Walker, Brad Walker (Tabi), and Stephen Walker (Dee Dee); grandchildren Cody Walker, Chase Walker (Caihla), Cheyenne Brandenburg (Matt), Brieh Walker, and Darbi Walker; and great-grandchildren Maverick, Copelin, Charlee, Crosley, and Cannon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gladys Distel.
Bobbi dedicated 18 years to Loveland City Schools before retiring in 1989 to spend more time with her family. She was her family's biggest cheerleader, never missing a game, recital, or event for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Bobbi was a die-hard UC Bearcats, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, relishing baseball games on TV and football Sundays at home. A familiar face at Kings Mills Frisch's for over 20 years, she was greeted by name and always had her order ready.
She loved family vacations to Myrtle Beach and Gatlinburg, and her glowing tan was her signature, whether from lounging by the pool or visiting tanning beds. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and her annual Christmas Eve celebrations were legendary, bringing friends and family together for 47 years. Bobbi's love of dancing and good times lit up every room she entered.
The family thanks the staff at Bethesda North Hospital for their compassionate care during her final days.
