Barbara "Jean" (nee Sutherland) Shepherd, age 94, passed away February 9, 2026. Beloved wife of 70 years to the late Norman Lee Shepherd. Loving mother of Stephen (Judith) Shepherd of Clayton, NC, Marcia Renee Shepherd of Bainbridge Island, WA and Jane Stuart of Eagle River, AK. Cherished grandmother of Timothy, Patrick, Colin, Jason, Travis, Emily, Karen and Lauren. Great grandmother of 18 and great great grandmother of 5. Preceded in death by her brother, Leon (Shirley) Sutherland. Also survived by numerous family and friends. Jean was a Tax Examiner for the IRS. Following retirement, she and Norman spent their winters in Green Valley, AZ.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 21 from 6-8 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will be held Friday, May 22 at 10 AM. Private inurnment at Plainview Cemetery.
