Barbara Ochten, born March 7, 1939, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on October 26, 2020 in Blanchester, OH. Barb was a wife, Mother, Mammaw, sister and friend, all of which she excelled at and took great pride in. After growing up in Kentucky, she moved to Saint Petersburg, FL where she spent many years raising her family and making great friends. She moved to Blanchester 15? years ago to be closer to her children, and grandchildren. Barb could always be found in her sewing room, coming up with many projects to gift others or sell in one of her stores. She enjoyed tending to her garden, and making her house a true home. A treat of some kind was always waiting for you if you stopped by and one of the best hugs you would ever receive. She was a loving light in our family, and she will be truly missed by those that were privileged to know her. Barb is survived by son James Williams Jr(Chelsea) of Blanchester, OH, daughter Miki Decker of South Carolina, sister Dottie(Bob) Addoms of Tarpon Springs, brother Jerry Owens(Pam), grandson Joseph Pearson(Kimberly Wood) of Hamilton, OH, granddaughter Tracy Vadeboncouer of Cincinnati, OH, granddaughter Jessica Hulbert(Timothy) of Dallas, TX, grandson James Williams III(Lexy) of Lexington, KY and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a loving extended family, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ishmael and Mabel Owens, her brother Tom Owens, her husband's James Williams and John Ochten, her son's Jason Williams and Jeff Williams. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St, Blanchester, Ohio. The family expresses their sincere gratitude for the love and prayers during this time.
