Barbara "Barb" Napier of Loveland, OH, passed away February 20, 2026, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Napier. Cherished mother of Mark (Kathy Smith) Napier and Amy (Mike) Becker. Loving grandmother of Kyle Becker. Caring sister of Gordon McDonald.

Barb was born on May 10, 1939, in Van Wert, OH, to Richard and Florence McDonald. Barb dedicated her life to serving others. She graduated from Earlham College, where she earned her first nursing degree. Following her time at Earlham, Barb earned three Master's degrees. Two of them, she earned from the University of Cincinnati in Education. The third, she earned from Wright State University to become a nurse practitioner.

During her career, Barb worked as a Medical-Surgical Nurse. A large portion of her career was spent teaching future generations of nurses. She helped to open Bethesda North Hospital, taught at Miami University, and helped to develop the Clinical Development program at Christ Hospital.

Barb will be laid to rest privately at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.
