With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jane (Shafer) Monnin (Cincinnati, Ohio), who passed away on July 5, 2020 at the age of 88. She was known to many as Barbara, Barb, Mom and her favorite Granny. She was predeceased by : her parents, Homer and Mildred Shafer She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children Terri Davis (Jack), Lisa Kolonis, Stanley Monnin, Marla Dixon (Bill). and her Grandchildren, Chandi, April, Aaron ,Andrea, Chelsea ,Emily and William. She was also blessed with many Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Anyone who knew her knew she loved people. She didn't know a stranger. She would give the shirt off her back if anyone needed it. She loved her family fiercely. She was a devoted Bengals fan, win or lose. She wrote poetry, played the piano and sang beautifully. All before Parkinson's took it all away. Thank you to all who lovingly cared for mom at Birchwood Care Center and the wonderful caring people of Hospice of Southwest Ohio.
