Barbara Elaine
Creamer
December 7, 1931 – January 18, 2025
Barbara Elaine Creamer (nee Rock), passed away peacefully January 18, 2025, at the age of 93, while a resident at Montage Mason.
Barbara was born on December 7, 1931, in Barbados, where she attended Ursuline Convent Academy. While practicing as an administrative assistant, she met her future husband, William (Bill) Creamer, who was stationed in Barbados with the U.S. Air Force for training. Besides being a mother and homemaker, Barbara was a frequent volunteer at St. Columban Catholic Church. While a member, she often volunteered as a substitute teacher and conducted CCD classes. An avid reader, Barbara championed her interest through her community work. She was notably awarded a public proclamation from the City of Loveland for her efforts in starting an adult reading, tutoring and literacy program. Additionally, she worked as a librarian for the Loveland Public Library. Barbara also served for several years as an administrative assistant at Grailville, also in Loveland.
Fostering a strong faith and interest in theology, Barbara studied at the Athenaeum of Ohio seminary in Cincinnati where she was ordained a deacon and lay minister. Later in life, she attended St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Montgomery, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eva (Cave) and Cyril Rock; her husband William; and her three sisters Jeanne, Greta, Brenda, and their respective husbands.
Barbara is survived by her son Michael and his wife Phyllis (Voltz); daughter Leslie Madalinski (Creamer) and her husband David; and her son Mark and his wife Stacey (Brooks). Her grandchildren include Colton and his wife Meredith; Eric; Sarah Romer (Madalinski) and her husband James; Mikaela Caldera (Madalinski) and her husband Austin; Jennifer Stahl (Creamer)
and her husband, Mike. Great grandchildren include Cayden, Isaiah, Elijah and Gabriella Stahl; Emory and Bennett Creamer; and Archer and Brock Romer. Surviving relatives include her sister Anne and her husband Rod, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
