Audrey M. McGee Beloved wife to the late Herbert E. McGee. Devoted mother of Kathy (Dan) Wills, Gary McGee and Janet (Len) Short of Loveland, OH. Preceded in death by her son, Ronald F. McGee of New Richmond, OH. Dearest grandmother to Nicole (Travis) Meece, Kristin Wills, Bradford Short and Caitlyn Short. Beloved great-grandmother to Ally and Andrew Meece. Audrey was born August 6, 1928 in Covington, KY to Frederick and Thursa Tegenkamp, and was the younger sister of Virginia (Tegenkamp) Warren who preceded her in death. She passed from this earth on Friday, June 4th, at the age of 92. Audrey and Herb were married September 4, 1948 at Loveland Presbyterian Church, Loveland, OH. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage, settling into their home in Loveland in 1954. There they raised four children most of whom settled close by to raise their own families. Audrey was able to live in her home until her death thanks in large part to her son, Gary, who was her devoted caregiver in her remaining years. Audrey was an employee of the Milford School District where she worked as the kitchen manager for Milford Main and Miami Elementary for many years until her retirement in 1986. She was an avid gardener and loved to travel. She traveled extensively with her husband and four children tent camping and travelling by RV all over the United States. Audrey and Herb were blessed to be able to see all 50 states in their lifetimes. Audrey's love of flowers was instilled in her by her mother, Thursa, and continues to live on in her daughters and her granddaughters. Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her, but they are comforted in the fact that they have so many cherished memories that they will carry with them always. Family and friends will be received Monday, June 7 from 6-8 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 8 at 10 AM. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery.
