Arthella Tate Kerns of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on March 24, 2022, at the age of 94. Born June 27, 1927, in Xenia, Ohio, daughter of Robert and Freida (nee Downhour) Mountjoy. She is survived by her children, David (Zoanna) Kerns and Daisy (Melvin) Mann; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Along with her parents, Arthella was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer Kerns; daughter, Gloria Helton; grandson, Kenny Mann; siblings, Robert, Albert, Earl, Carl, Lena, Opal, and Eva. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11am until the time of service. Pastor Paul Crisp will officiate. Interment will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio
