Arnold S. Van Skaik Jr. of Newtonsville, OH, formerly of Pisgah, OH. Born on May 7, 1921 in Cincinnati, OH. Passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Elva Mae (Bartholomew) Van Skaik and the late Marian (Meyers) Van Skaik. Loving father of Kenneth Van Skaik, Arnold (Joan) Van Skaik III and the late Donna Jean Simmons. Caring step-father of Ernest (Lou) Marshall, Louis (Mae) Marshall, Rebecca (Ross) Newman and Willa (Tom) Quallen. Proud grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Shirley, Ellie, Ed and the late Don, Charles, Lillian and Bob. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, many dear friends and his beloved dog, Charlie. Services held on Tuesday, October 15, 12 Noon at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service. A Masonic Lodge No. 204 Service will begin at 12 Noon. Interment, Plainview Cemetery, Newtonsville, OH. Memorial donations may be made to the Holtsinger Memorial Presbyterian Church, 10104 Auburn Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45241 Rev. Bill Lewis of Holtsinger Memorial Presbyterian Church will be the presiding minister for Arnie's servies. Pallbearers for Arnold are: Arnie Van Skaik III, Ken Van Skaik, Tom Quallen, Joey Van Skaik, Steve Van Skaik and Sarah Crone.
