Anthony "Tony" A. Houston of Pleasant Plain, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2022 at the age of 69. Born on August 24, 1952 in Stanford, KY. Beloved husband of Joan Elaine (nee Scherle) Houston. Loving father of Anthony A. (Rebecca) Houston Jr. and Tina (Steve) Leder. Proud Grampy of Clara Leder, Avery Houston, Jack Leder and special Grampy to Madison Buecker. Dear brother of William (Lois) Houston and the late Louise Smith and James Houston. Cherished son of the late Frank and Virgie (nee Rash) Houston and step-son of the late Elizabeth (nee Calhoun) Houston. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Tony proudly served in the United States Army. Tony was loved and adored by his family and friends. His loving spirit and positive attitude was ever present even during his courageous battle with cancer. Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, August 1 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen. A Military Honor Service will begin at 12 Noon followed by services at the funeral home. Delmar Stockwell and Duane Topinka will be officiating the services. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
