Annette was born and raised in Grenada, MS and attended Mississippi State College for Women where she earned her degree. She was a teacher at St. Richards Catholic School in Jackson, MS and Immaculate Conception in Memphis,TN at the same time she met and married the love of her life, Joseph Ciaramitaro. They had four children and then moved to Nashville, TN and then a final move to Loveland, Ohio is where she made her home. She taught 4th grade for 18 years at St. Columban and retired in 1998. Annette loved to travel, and she and Joe traveled the world to many places and had many adventures together. She was a devote Catholic and always made sure her children and grandchildren knew the faith and to always rely on God first. Annette loved her family and family history. In retirement, Annette wrote a memoir of her life growing up in Mississippi in the 1940's and 1950's and her life beyond called Prickly Pears, Magnolias, and Buckeyes. Annette believed in keeping her culture alive and she recently compiled her Italian recipes and hand wrote each book for her four children and 9 grandchildren. As Annette's last few sentences in her memoir, she wrote, "Our time on Earth is short and we need to make the best of it while we are here. Never pass up an opportunity to learn something new, always do your best. Be a shining light to others, do good in the world, and leave it a little better place than when you came." Annette did just that. She will be deeply missed.
