Obituary

Newton Anne Wray (Nee Popp) was called to our heavenly home peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, June 27, 2005 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Cheryle Anne and Terry Hinnerichs, respectively; devoted grandmother of Todd and wife Amy Hinnerichs and grandson Christopher Hinnerichs; and dearest great-grandmother of Reese Katherine Hinnerichs. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elizabeth Brown, and her beloved husband Robert (Bob) Newton.Ohio born and raised, she moved to Loveland in 1958. She was active in her church, member of the Loveland Historical Society, and many other organizations, and involved in the community. She was always present for her extended family and friends. The last four years of her life she moved to Albuquerque to be near her immediate family. She continued to remain active in her "adopted" church, community and volunteered two hours per week to help her granddaughter-in-law, Amy, teach her 2nd grade class where she was affectionately known as "Grandma" to the students. She loved people and always had time to lend a listening ear, show compassion to others, and was fun loving. We love her dearly and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Please join us in a celebration of life service for her at Loveland Presbyterian Church, Robin Avenue Loveland, Ohio Friday July 22, 2005 at 11:00am followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be directed to the Shriners Institute for Burned or Crippled Children or the Loveland Presbyterian Church Bazaar/ Lunch Fund.
