Alta Combs (nee Hampton) was born on November 12, 1925 to John and Francis (nee Caudill) Hampton and passed away on October 3, 2015 at the age of 89. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and word searches. She is survived by her daughter Wilma Hollon and son Eddie Ray Combs; grandson, Brian David Roll; great granddaughter Rachel Dawn Roll; brothers and sisters, Ila Mae (Raymond) Cloud, Ruth (Homer) Smith and Troy Hampton; brother-in-law, Kenneth Aldridge and sister-in-law, Doris Massie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond D. Combs, whom she married December 13, 1944, son and daughter-in-law, Terry Edward (Rainer) Combs and Gloria (nee White) Combs; son-in law, T. Chad Hollon; grandson, Robert Roll; granddaughter, Angela Roll; sisters, Artie Davis, Flarie Caudill, Allie Aldridge; brothers, Hendricks Hampton, Arnold Hampton, Earl Hampton; brother-in-law, Coman Caudill; sisters-in-law, Iona Hampton, Fanny Hampton and Esta Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday October 10, 2015 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W.
