Alice Joann (nee Neff) Byrd of Batavia, OH, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on January 24, 2026, at the age of 91. Alice was born on February 10, 1934, in Indianapolis, IN to Samuel and Bessie Neff.

Alice was the beloved wife of the late J.B. Byrd, loving mother of Deborah (James) Riley, Gary (Carol) Byrd and the late Danny Byrd and David Byrd, caring grandmother of James "JJ" Riley, Charity (Mike) Woolwine, Erica Byrd and Ashley (Amanda) Byrd, proud great-grandmother of Courtney (Zach) Demaris, Zachary (Alayna) Riley, Madelynn (Tyler) Meeks, Connor Woolwine and Katelynn Woolwine, adored great-great-grandmother of Gatlin Meeks, dear sister of the late Madeline Wallace, Hannah Mallott, Mabel "Bobbie" Berry and James Neff, cherished daughter of the late Samuel H. and Bessie C. (nee Owens) Neff. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.

Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Friday, January 30 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon on Friday.

The interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
