DOHERTY Alfred "Al" Cornelius Jr., of Landen, Ohio, formerly of Boston, Massachusetts. Beloved husband of Sue (nee Ahern) Doherty. Proud and loving father of Pamela (John) Parker, Alfred C. Doherty III, and Alison (Scott) Gates. Caring grandfather of Jessie, Allie, Abby, Megan, Erin and Connor. Dear brother of Kathleen VanMetre, Patricia Nemes and Terrance Doherty. Cherished son of the late Alfred C. and Alice (nee Brown) Doherty. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Al graduated from the United States Naval Academy US Army - Vietnam War Al was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a safety engineer for many years in the insurance business.
