Alfred Paul Allen, 88, lifelong resident of Blanchester, Ohio passed away February 9, 2019. Born January 28, 1931 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Luther and Susan (nee Thomas) Allen. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Phyllis (nee Long) Allen. Also survived by four sons, Timothy Wayne Allen (Ann), Kenny Dale Alllen (Peggy), Chris Robert Allen (Robin) and Steven Howard Allen (Vanessa); A special sister, Vernadene Tucker; Brothers-in-law Roger Burton and David Malott; grandchildren: Alyssa Allen, Emily Donohue (Dr. Kevin), Benjamin Allen (Khadija), Rachel Long (Justin), Gretchen Bradshaw, Alicia, Andres, Andrea, Alfred William Allen; Great-grandchildren: BJ, Gavin, Finn, Caroline, and Miles; cousins: Harold Allen, Roxanne Roberts, and Walter Hildebrecht; Many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Harry, Frank, Barbara, Brenda, and Karen. Alfred maintained a great optimistic look on life, right up to his last hour. He took his greatest pleasures interacting with every single member of his family, his familys friends, and anyone who wanted a good friend. He was a member of the Blanchester Historical Society and the Blanchester Senior Citizens. Alfred retired after 42 years as a pressman from The Curless Printing Co., Blanchester. Graveside services will be held at 12pm on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, Blanchester, Ohio.
