Adam Robert Bockhorst, of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on September 11, 2026, in Fayetteville, Ohio, at the age of 24.
Adam was born on March 18, 2002, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Robert and Claire (née Weingartner) Bockhorst.
He was the proud brother of Maria Bockhorst, James (Rebecca) Bockhorst, and Carolyn Bockhorst. He was the dear nephew of the late Carl Bockhorst, William (Jackie) Bockhorst, his godparents Chris and John Herrmann, Margie (Lester) Burgin, Rob Weingartner, Pete (Mary Ann) Weingartner, and Paul (Heather) Weingartner. He was the cherished grandson of the late Carl and Helen Bockhorst and the late Robert and Ruth Weingartner. Adam is also survived by numerous cousins and many dear friends.
Adam was a 2020 graduate of Blanchester High School and a 2024 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he earned a degree in Information Technology. He was a proud Eagle Scout with Troop 741 in Owensville, Ohio, and worked as an IT Specialist for BestNest.
Adam loved his job, but he truly lived for adventure. He enjoyed kayaking, paddleboarding, camping, hiking, and playing ultimate frisbee, and he especially loved riding his motorcycle. He had a lifelong passion for trucks, motorcycles, and cars. One of his most cherished projects was restoring a 1969 Mustang alongside his father.
Adam had an infectious sense of humor and a remarkable ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him. He was a voice of reason, a mediator, and a peacemaker. He was generous with his time and talents and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Adam was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Skyline Chili, but above all, he treasured his family, friends, and the many adventures and memories they shared.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Adam Bockhorst to St. Louis School, 250 N Broadway St., Owensville, OH 45160.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 State Route 28, Goshen, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 5890 Buckwheat Road, Milford, Ohio.
