Ada "Effie" Cox Sneed (nee Humfleet), formerly of Maineville Ohio, passed away November 13, 2024, at age 92.
Beloved wife of the late Rodney W. Cox and Albert Preston Sneed. Loving mother to Judy Luti, Randy (Phyllis) Cox, Rodger (deceased) (Janice) Cox, Robin D. (Steve) Geohegan and Gayla (deceased) (Steve) Ritzie. Proud grandmother of Randell (Katie) Cox, Jr., Albert (Valerie) Cox, Alicia Hall, Kevin Geohegan, Anna Geohegan, Jon Heim, Robert Heim, Heather Heim, Tony Thornton, Donnie Thornton, Ronnie Thornton, Allan Thornton and the late Mark Luti, Shannon Doyle and Edward Hall, Jr.
Great-grandmother of 20 and great-great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of Betty Quales, and her late siblings Oma (Edith) Settles, Virgil Humfleet, Archie Humfleet, Frank Humfleet, Lester Humfleet, Roy Humfleet, Jack Humfleet and Raymond Humfleet.
Ada was a proud member of the Loveland American Legion Auxiliary Post 256 and Loveland Auxiliary FOE 3006. Ada was born in Lily, KY to Barney and Sarah (Carmack) Humfleet. She moved to Ohio in the early 1950s and raised her family in Maineville, OH. She retired from Kings School District.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, November 19 from 11 AM-12 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will be held at 12 PM. Interment Murdoch Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
