After a long illness, Phyllis Rannells, 70, went to her Lord on September 5, 2015.
Born in Blue Ash, Ohio on April 16, 1945 to the late Cecil and Christine Sowder. Phyllis was the beloved wife of Larry Rannells for 55 years. They lived in the Midland area for several years. She was the loving mother of sons, Mickey (Gloria) Rannells, Marvin (Scott Roeder) Rannells, Matthew (Sandra) Rannells, and Ronald (Angela) Rannells; Proud grandmother of Zackery Rannells, La Crisha Bounds-Harrison, Mary Rannells, Kyle Rannells, Logan Bruner, William Rannells, Timothy Rannells, Jared (Michelle) Gregory, and Tiffany (Dwane)Moore; Great-grandmother of Emerald Hodge, Makenzie and Maybelle Gregory; Dear sister of Gerry Acuff, Mary Floyd, Helen Fleck, Francis Maves, Charlene Horn, Paul Sowder, and the late Joyce Teeter; She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis loved her pets Ornery and Socks. She loved growing roses, gardening, using her computer, watching Bengals Football and N.H.R.A Drag Racing with Larry and spending time with her family. She ran News Journal routes and owned the Wilmington area Cincinnati Enquirer routes for many years. Later she and her husband drove semi-trucks hauling freight cross country to all 48 states and Canada.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 12pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio 45107, where friends will be received from 10am until time of service.
